Blank [yet another text adventure]

Rub our hands together again for heat rather than trying to contact the metal to the bodies.

 

The glow does not seem to give off any heat and goes away as soon as you move your hands away.

The light source seems to be above you, though you are not sure. The smoke/fog around you makes it hard to see very far.

You bend down to examine the robot in front of you, and start searching for some kind hatch that could contain batteries.
The search seems fruitless until you start examining the head. Near the back of it, you see a small square panel. Prying it open, you find a small twisted, charred piece of metal inside. You take it out to examine it.

Suddenly, with a lot of creaking and grinding, the robot stands up and looks at you.

A minute of silence passes, and the robot continues standing there, as if waiting for orders. You decide to ignore it for now.

Your armor's fastening is a small strip of rusty metal, not springy enough to be used for a crossbow.
You found it lying among the rubbish. It may have had something written on it at some point, but it is impossible to tell now.

Which tools do you want to make?

 

ask the robot "what the well is going on around here?"

 

Create a tool to fix more robots.

 

You ask the robot, "What the well is going on here?". It turns away and walks toward the other inert robot, tinkers with it, and the other robot stands up. They both then head toward some other robots, fix them...
You realize that this is turning into a huge chain reaction.

 

Try to see if you can stand somewhere not in the middle so that should they eventually attack you, you can run away.
If the field of robots doesn't stop go back to where you started the chain.

 

Show the newly revived robots that you are their friend in order to create your very own robotic army!

 

You start walking, looking for the end of the room.

You find it fairly quickly: An old, worn iron wall that looks slightly corroded and stretches upwards as far as you can see. There is a very rusty door in it.

Do you leave the robots and attempt to open the rusty door, or do you go back?

 

Go back go back go back. Go back to where you were!

 

You turn around and walk back to where you were.

You notice that the robots seems to have completed fixing each other.
You can only see some of them through the fog.
The robots start moving toward you. You can't tell if the are hostile toward you or not.

Do you wait and see if they attack, or do you run away back to the door?

 

Try to see if you can talk to them, but try to keep distance.

 

Tell them you are a fellow robot as far as you know.

 

Run to the door and keep it open. If one attacks, you can already run.
If they're nice, ask the following:
1. Where am I?
2. Who are you?
3. Who am I?
4. Do you believe in the Great Potato?

If they offer tools, take them. Don't even do that thing where you pretend like you can't because you're nice.

 

The robots keep moving toward you. Talking seems to have no effect on them.

You try to back away, but realize that you are surrounded.

They stop.

You wait for a few seconds, and nothing happens. It seems as if they are waiting for orders like before, only how can you communicate with them? Talking seems to have no effect.

 

Do the chicken dance.

If that doesn't work then step towards the robots and see how they react.

 

You do the chicken dance, then step towards the nearest robot.
It steps back.

A metallic groan issues from the walls, and you reflect that the burning goop may have structurally damaged the room.

 

Use the robots to make structural support, until a permanent solution is found.

 

You have no idea how to make a structural support out of the robots. They do not seem to want to be grabbed, and ignore your commands.

The whole room shudders, and you hear more metallic screeches as bits of rubble hit the floor and the room begins to fall apart.
