I thought that this was worth a new thread. Be Cool Scooby Doo is the most horrific thing I have ever seen.
They said they were making it have a more kid friendly, comedic tone.
But let me ask you this.

Honestly, if I were a kid this would give me nightmares.

wow, I thought you were gonna show us something that actually looked bad. but is the makers of this new skooks show want that kind of art, then thats fine. I didn't have a problem with the art from ttg, just everything else. besides it may be better than going the other direction

well, its going for a more cartoonish style rather than realstic. is it good as the original looks? no, but it just doesn't look bad. the other thing is that you've shown us photos but another part of animation is motion, how does skooks move in this new show? is he nearly dead static? or is he hyperventalating all the time?

1. He could be playing Devil's Advocate.
2. He's probably used to all of the shitty remakes of shows that have been the popular thing lately. Teen Titans GO! (which was funny for the first five minutes and then got old very fast). All of these MARVEL and DC kickbacks, etc.

TTG is also just a little worse of an offender in this case, since it's source material that was at least made with some effort and care

Scooby doo's never really been anything more than a shallow, albeit entertaining distraction of a cartoon

That may be true but the original Scooby Doo still was better than TTG and probably will be better than BCSD.

I'm defending it because it hasn't been released yet, and I try to keep an open mind about things before I try something.

1. I advocate only myself, because thats the only person I have the right to represent.
2. I'm not used to any of that shit, I just don't debunk things until they're actually released.
