Anyway to get back to the final cave (hidden)?

Is there anyway to get back to the final cave to do speedruns after beating the misery/doctor/undead core fights? Other than starting a new run, that is. Also, how do you make the timer start when entering the final cave?

1. No, you have to start a new run
2. You have to mod/hack the game to start the timer in the final cave if you want it there.

And to number 2, I figured that much. I'm just completely clueless when it comes to anything of the sort. Mind pointing me in the direction of a guide on how to do it?

Edit: Ah, just noticed there is a mod/hacking forum. I suppose I can just do a search for it in order to not waste your time.
