Homebrew enabling a PSP or installing custom firmware is much easier these days.

I should get a PSP to play some of these. Is it easy enough to install these to one?

Yeah, it's super easy (as long as you have a memory stick and a way to access it such as a USB cable that fits or a memory stick adapter)

Just get CFW (I used this tutorial) and then either plop the folder with the game name into the /PSP/GAME folder on the memory stick or make a folder with the game name in /PSP/GAME on the memstick and plop the EBOOT file and the data.csv file into it. You should see the mods in the Memory Stick area of the Game section of the XMB. If you have CFW enabled at that moment you should be able to load it.

I do. Had to re-zip it, because I lost the original zip. Therefore it's missing a config file. (So, if you want windowed mode, you'll have to use Config.exe)

Is it possible for andwhyisit to port the most recent version of jenkas nightmare over to PSP? That would be a miracle if so.

I'm assuming that you're referring to ZarroTsu's rendition. If that is the case, then that's probably not going to be feasible. One limit that applies to porting mods both for the MAC/PSP and also Cave Story+ is that the number of maps must not exceed 95, and that mod greatly exceeds that number, and it really would not be feasible to cut it down to 95. I even had a discussion with ZarroTsu about this when he was inquiring about porting his mod to Cave Story+.

Since we basically have CS rewritten in C++ (Via SIM, Gabe, Clownacy, and Cucky) now, I wonder how hard it would be to port that to the PSP. According to this webpage it shouldn't be that hard. Everything up to the core is done right now for CSR, (the core fight is done but it doesn't die correctly), and various npcs past that are done, so it wouldn't be much longer until this is a possibility. (albeit the activity on the project is somewhat sporadic, so there's no set target date)

Also this of course means that asm hacks could be re-written and ported to the PSP as well.

Why does this limit exist? also do mods require porting to work on retroarch I tried running my mod on retroarch on my Wii U and it wouldn't work

I am Japanese and I can not speak English.
So I used Google Translate.

I think the sentences are stupid.
I'm sorry

As I am a beginner, I think that it may not be reached.
-------------------------------------------------------
It is difficult if there are more than 95 maps.

The reason is that the map list is embedded in the executable file.

And there is no room for new data in the psp executable file.
This makes it difficult to increase the content of the list.

(This is the same for the win version.
However, it is possible because win has a corresponding editor.)

(In the case of ZarroTsu,
Because the script is long, It can not be ported as it is.
And modifying the command, It can not be ported as it is too.

I do not know how
I'm sorry)

(If it is good enough for beginners to investigate

Doukutsu Uploader
pspkaizoujilyoukilyuusilyamuke02.zip
(psp改造上級者向け02.zip)
The way to

However, there were things that could not be done this way.
The cause is unknown.
And the work is very Tedious.)

Actually, the translation is quite good, I was able to understand it without any difficulty.

(Sorry, this is a bit off topic.)
