Advance Map Warping Help

I...I think this is where you're supposed to put this stuff.

I'm having trouble with advance map. Whenever I try to make my character warp into a cave, the character ends up facing downwards and refuses to warp back out when I want him to.

That exit doesn't work at all.
I've tried the "see how pixel did it" theory (I guess it'd be "see how GameFreak did it"), but I can't figure out what's wrong.
I can post more details if they're needed.

Well that's odd, but whatever. I found an alternate way, sorta.
We need an alternate hack/mod answers thread for this kind of stuff.

I also have another question about advance map for pkmn emerald, how do you change the cutscene where you ride in the truck and jump out? I want to eliminate that scene and put in one where the main character is sitting in a house.

I think this subforum is more geared towards discussion/development of mods of other things, or game dev in general. We are ill-equipped to answer specific technical questions about software we've never used, I'm afraid.

 

I knew how to do that 3 years ago.

 

Then there is a lesson to be learned here. If you want something pokamawn related done, ask about it three years in advance.
