I always vaguely remembered a little I used to play when I was ten, but I couldn't remember its name or any details about it. Stumbled upon Cave Story some months ago, and lo and behold, it was the game I had played and couldn't remember. Played it again, and here I am.

Considering that humans can still breathe on the Island and that it is not frozen over, it cannot be at a very high altitude, but that's another topic. My bet is that, excluding the Mimiga that escaped by helicopter, everyone else should be presumed dead.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Scorching Back yet. Quite the impactful song, considering the context it is played in. Living Waterway and Plant are great too, definitely the types of melody you can listen to in a loop for a long time and not get bored.
