• Most people probably don't realise this, but this forum has had two editors for a number of years. One is the xenForo default editor, and the other is a custom editor I made years back I called BBCEd.

    All the settings for which editor you use was lost during the upgrade. You can find the setting under Account Settings > Preferences > Editor.

    There's no RNG regarding laser. Heavy Press always fires it on start (well, it should), then after 400 frames, then each 300 frames (there are always 4 butes spawned between shots).

    Truth be told, it's was because those sites were riddled with ads (thus, making money for their owners). Nicalis couldn't care less about some GPL violations, only money/trademark bothers them. They did, however, shot down original nxengine 3ds port, because, again, money.

    Nicalis only rewrote renderer/sound engine/main menu. All game logic is straight copy-paste from original, afaik. That depends on how much rights Pixel actually signed off to Nicalis (which we'll never know). So, all in all, its a walk on a thin ice.
