My dad is a subway franchisee, He has 5 stores, each employing a good amount of people. Most standard employees are paid minimum wage, but managers, assistant-to-the-regional-manager type people, etc are obviously paid more. He would have to lay off many of them to even stay in business.
Also I thought the EU economy was doing really bad because of Greece and Spain?
Edit: Australia I'm not sure about. I don't know enough about their economy to know if its doing well with that pay
I'm sure most sane candidates understand that they wouldn't be able to implement their more radical proposals immediately (if ever), and will ideally want to start with whatever is most immediately applicable.
I agree. Some of the people voting seem to think these candidates are dictators that can get anything done. We all know Trump would never get permission to do any of his shit. Bernie is more likely that they'd approve but still a no for some of the extremes.
