I don't get it.

He's saying that motivation is what gets you into something (a project, perhaps) like a spark and discipline is how you keep doing it without getting bored, like driving on.

Example: Learning Japanese Hiragana.
"Spark": Wanting to know more about Japanese culture
"Drive": Going through all friggin' forty-six without quitting

Not me.

That's a good saying. It's especially relevant in this community.
