It is true. If you're banned, then all you can see is the "You don't have permission to view this forum" page.

Wow, didn't know that was possible. I always thought the banned were cursed to lurk the forums for all of eternity.

Nah, that's just shane.

But then there's always logging out and/or clearing your cookies in order to view the forums again.

It won't let you logout, but clearing cookies works.
However, most people this happens to don't really have that kind of proficiency

I'm pretty sure that Chrome deletes your cookies automatically if you clear your history by default, which might be a bit of a problem.
