Modding is VERY easy once you get the hang of it. Most people here are self taught, but there are several good modding guides out there. Just pick up an editor (Preferably Cave Editor or Booster's Lab) and get going. Learning the TSC language is extremely easy compared to other programming languages, and you'll probably get the hang of it in the blink of an eye. If you're not sure about something, go ask about it on our helpful "Modding/Hacking Answer thread".

Just in case you missed it, a good place to start is the Grand Gallery of Modding tutorials. My recommendation for the first among those to view is Noxid's video guide on modding, it does a good job of holding your hand through things.
