How do I edit the properties of a weapon in depth? (ROF, Projectile, etc.)

For size, I'm planning on making them inventory items (except the TV, which will be a normal object). I'm thinking the coin should be bronze with slight corrosion. The radio should look like something from the 70s, with a blocky body and wood grain.

Is it possible to change weapon properties such as rate of fire or spread? I want to make the machine gun slower, but also make it use the level 1 Polar Star projectiles.

Hm, what kind of raygun would you want? Something retro-futuristic like the one from CoD: Black Ops or something more realistic like something from Star Wars?
