Pretend that you're applying a CS+ port, and that port uses custom NPC spritesheets or regular spritesheets. If you had to choose between making that mod share save slot sets with Curly Story or having to open up a separate EXE and getting to have its own save slot set, which would you choose?
A new version of Plus Porter should be coming fairly soon. At first I was thinking it would take up to two more weeks, but actually it may very well be ready before Monday. I'm very excited to make this release, because up to this point Plus Porter has been somewhat of a novelty due to its limited features. But after this release, you'll be able to do things that you wouldn't be able to do manually.
For those of you interested: I'm sorry that you haven't heard much about the ongoing development of Plus Porter lately. I had some stuff I had to get done. Now that that's done, I'm now back to working on future releases of Plus Porter. It is currently my goal to make at least one major release each month, making me hopefully done with Plus Porter altogether before too long, so that I can get back to working on CBSR. I've just overcome a problem I've been having with progress bars and multi-threading, so now I just have one more feature and another tweak I want to make before I make the next release. Stay tuned!
My apologies; I composed a reply the first time I saw your response to the forum thread on Cave Story Wiki, but I completely forgot to reply to it! I ended up returning to my other main wiki because I had been neglecting it all this time I had been editing on CS Wiki. I now posted a response and want to thank you for taking your time to compose yours. Still, I don't know if there are enough users to make a definite decision yet...
I think Plus Porter is just about ready for its first release. It won't be able to do anything fancy with graphics, but it will have a bit of functionality. I'm not posting the thread tonight, though, because I should have gone to bed over 2 hours ago. I'm gonna be tired tomorrow.
