• Most people probably don't realise this, but this forum has had two editors for a number of years. One is the xenForo default editor, and the other is a custom editor I made years back I called BBCEd.

All the settings for which editor you use was lost during the upgrade. You can find the setting under Account Settings > Preferences > Editor.

Well the names by themselves, Coldcaller and Loopy, originate from my two toon-names on toontown. For the longest time, I had my toon's name: coldcaller, afterward when the officials were like "yea you can't have your name be a cog, you gotta change it mate". So I did. But when on the changing name screen, I accidentally accepted a random name by pure accident, and so it was Loopy. I've learned to love the name with time, and now, many of my accounts either are coldcaller, loopy, or, as y'all know me as, Coldcallerloopy.

    Interesting.

To be honest, I dont use the same name myself for any social media. Im binary on this site, & alphy on another, & so on.

    But that's pretty cool
I actually think the 3ds is rom worthy. But I haven't tried it.

I am not only amazed somebody remembered a post I made several months ago, but that I know exactly what you're talking about.

Technically speaking, no console is ROM worthy, because those are kind of illegal (unless you extracted the ROMs yourself). That aside, I don't think 3DS is ROM worthy, yet. Maybe wait for 2 years, or something.

Meh. What do I know? I still play N64 to this day.
I just remembered that using the Head script is helpful so you don't repetitively keep typing in code for stuff like teleportation and missiles...
when is the next thing going to happen?
its ok you can take your time i probably wont even have time to do it for a while anyways like a month but yall know

I haven't done much with ACSS in the last 2 months, 'cause school work and all. When summer starts I'll be able to get right back into the swing of things. I intend to finish update 1.08? by the August update. Heck, I still need to address the most recent comment on the thread page. As long as people are talking about ACSS, I can be happy able that.

i know what that feels like having a lot of work
sometimes i have a lot of work
    yeah its a lot
    makes me spend time
    and time is everything

the great war of time will bring all together and separate all apart

that would be a really cool video game wouldnt it be a war of time or something like somewhere there are all these time things and the more you collect the more you control time somehow like you can speed up and make other things slow so the more powerful you are wow neat
what is better song for a last (and first) boss fight that's just kind of a small boss and you never really heard about it at all but its just a boss fight because that will make it more fun eyes of flame or gravity?
    metallicLurker
    metallicLurker
"Eyes of Flame" is more suitable for serious, intimidating bossfights. But, for your situation, I think "Run!" can work.
    ColdCallerLoopy

Depending on the atmosphere, your best choices (personally), would be Oppression ,Gravity, or Last Battle; eyes of flame has more of a "mid-to-late-game-boss-feel", and for only one boss, the other 3 are better options.
    Walrus_Guy
    Walrus_Guy
ill probably do gravity/oppression since last battle is like awesome epic stuff

but this isn't really that awesome epic

like you weren't anticipating this fight at all and you don't really expect this to be a last battle

I MAY RELEASE THE MOD SOON YAY
My friend recently recommended me a, let's leave it at "tasty" site, and I came across an upload of the Megaman Battle Network complete works book...I don't know if I'm happy or horrified I found something as awesome as that just lying around on a "tasty" site...??
Is the 3DS dead enough to download roms?

I'd feel so bad doing it.... I've made a point to only stick to roms from older generations but I guess at this point it wouldn't be too bad
I just bought one of those air-thingies that's supposed to help with dust in a room. One of it's settings sounds like rain, I never realized how peaceful a soft rain can be.

I don't understand what the buzz is about CSBD mods; if they're good, they're good, if not, then it's always a stepping stone to something greater. For those who can be discouraged by it, don't be, modding takes time and effort; it comes with practice. Make something great, and with patience, it can be something beautiful.

    I don't think they're inherently bad, but I don't always think they're special either.
Don't get me wrong but they're often frowned upon thanks to the lesser great ones that apply random xd humor or such. And things like simple texture/character edits often don't interest most people either.
But I do agree that it is a great way to for first time modding (hell, even I've been there, and look at me now).
And I do think there are a few CSBDs out there that still can be enjoyable (Cavern Tale). But again, a lot of people have played CS to the point where they've had enough of it, so it's common for these kinda mods to not pull interest that much.
I kinda hope our standards don't rise to the point where these are called insultingly bad, we can still enjoy things even without fancy TSC/ASM.
    ColdCallerLoopy
    ColdCallerLoopy
Definitely, CSBD mods are nowhere near perfect but they're a good stepping stone for modders to start off with; and just about all of us were making CSBD mods when we started out or at least took advice from the people criticizing those mods at some point in our lives.

Except i now am ashamed of mine.
For anybody wondering there is no Feburary update for ACSS, I covered all of the bases I wanted to when uploading versions 1.05 and 1.06; I'll see y'all in the March update!

    darn thats a while

can you add a cool sign somewhere it can say something like hi im a sign
    ColdCallerLoopy
    ColdCallerLoopy
It'd be a funny in-joke but I wouldn't want to break the fourth wall all too much. Maybe in a far-off place, that'd be funny.
    Walrus_Guy
    Walrus_Guy
is breaking the fourth wall when something happens thats not really related to the game

maybe you could make that sign but instead of it looking like a sign it would be sprite 0 so it would be almost impossible to find
    i liked your gameeeeeee
    yahoooooo
but the first critter in the cave remove it it gets me every time :(
    ColdCallerLoopy
    ColdCallerLoopy
Yeah I was definitely looking over the first cave before uploading...I'm going to upload V: 1.06 addressing some changes and the bugs you pointed out.
Was looking through a bunch of old threads and such; minus the couple dozen that have lasted to this day, the people of the previous 10 years are almost like a fragment we'll never get to truly understand since many haven't returned. It's a strange but unnerving feeling we'll never get to meet them or know them.

I think it's just interesting and at the same time scary; I'm the kind of person who wants to be a middle man that gets to understand all facets of life. But it's weird to see profiles that haven't been touched in years, like viewing an infinite cementary.

That's a good question, I don't know. Probably in the same way those who left felt, not much, I'd hope not to but death can be silent and that's probably how I'd wanna go out on. Ironic that I find an unease with profiles and people who left silently or simply forgot about the forums. It's become a part of my life so I doubt I'd leave so suddenly or quitely unless something major happens.
