I planed to do it in 4 days. In the end it takes me 4 weeks. Here is the release of V1.1 with Mac and Linux support. More responsive, less laggy with multi-threading switch.

Full change log:

+ Add Linux OS support (32/64 bits)

+ Add Mac OS support (universal 32/64 bits)

+ Move to multi-threading framework

+ Remove Wellcome Dialog

+ Add command line parameters support

+ Increase camera drawing distance

+ Decrease input latency

+ Improve overall performance

+ Improve 3Dification algorithm

+ Add various small bug fixes

Special Notes: based on the result of the survey of Linux and Mac support that i'm running from the beginning up to now - https://goo.gl/forms/Iun9FIvxpnmJgAlY2 -, more than 98% users are willing to pay to have their OSes supported so the minimal price for those two portings is 4.99$

Roadmap:

+ V1.1.x Bugfix, Customizable input mapping, Virtual Reality

+ V2.x New 3dification framework to solve the limitation of current one, 3dn filesize will become much smaller, 3d shape editor will become more powerful and smarter.

Final Bonus: video of Zelda II - The Adventure of Link

Hello,
I would like to inform you the release of 3DNes V1.2 with Virtual Reality, First Person View and Control
Ok that's really cool. I'm getting a new phone soon and I already have a nice 3D printed VR headset so I'll try using trinius with it. Looks awesome.

I wonder what's the legality to putting a Nintendo emulator on Steam.

Knowing Nintendo, I think that'd be the point where they'd intervene.
Then again, I haven't seen them do anything against emulators themselves recently, but they sure as hell would strike down rom sites.

I guess my concern more lies in the fact that it's using Nintendo branding as its main selling point. I'd hate to see this project get stopped when it's so far into development.

That's fair, and you guys seem to have only used more indie NES games in the marketing, but it's still very clearly an NES emulator, and I'm not sure how Nintendo would feel about an emulator being on the largest game distribution platform.

The only thing that could get this potentially shot down is if it gained too much traction and caught the attention of Nintendo itself.
Who knows though, what if they just end up buying this software to put marked-up versions of games on their platforms?

Oh also does the steam version have support for non-vr or is it vr only?
