As I sit beside the warmth of the fire light...
I think about the choices made on that dire night...

Abandoned hope and me and Kazuma just up and left...
And left the people of the surface to their certain death...

 

The cold air on my face as we flew away...
The screaming terror of the people on their final day...

We found a mountain cave and narrowly escaped disaster...
And lived like cowards, all alone in the ever after...

 

See, I was built to fight my fears, and never let em beat me...
And never falter in the in the eyes of those who really need me...

I was programmed to ignore the doubt and worries brimming...
But no one told me how to fight when there's no chance of winning...

 

We spent our days alone and no one evil ever found us...
While the entire world was laid to waste all around us...

I'll dwell each night on all the people that I couldn't save...
Until I end the way I started, in an empty Cave...
