- Front page animation now uses requestAnimationFrame (or a vendor prefixed derivative) instead of setTimeout for browsers that support it, as it is reportedly more efficient.
- Normally DOM changes to an absolutely positioned element would not repaint or reflow parent elements. Turns out that there is an exception to this rule in Firefox, and who knows what other browsers. If the absolutely positioned element is contained within a floated element then that floated element's parent element and all its children are repainted. This issue is now fixed in the homepage animation.
