Hey fellas. So you guys probably get how this goes at this point. In case you totally bailed on our las threads and are tuning in just now, you ask me tons of questions, and I answer them. Ask me anything, I don't give a heck what it is.

    Oh right, a bio.
I'm a Junior in high school in Oregon (West Coast, so feel free to ask questions at otherwise unholy hours of the night and receive answers). Like most people on the forums, I love the video games (especially Cave Story), but my computer is a little on the mediacore side so I haven't played many super recent ones. I listen to music more than most, pretty much all genres except perhaps death metal (but I'm open to it, I'd love for someone to find me some!) I'm studying to become an Engineer, and I love ponies.
    That's about it, ask away.

How did you get turned on to ponies?

    What is your favorite food?

    What is your earliest memory?

    Boxers or briefs?

I swear to god I'll ask better questions later

Is "Big Dicks, Hardcore" ironic or are you actually a porn star? @_@

Are you familiar with the super-awesome post-hardcore British metal band "Fighstar?"

Do you drink tea or coffee?

    Also, favorite type of food.

Also, on a rather ridiculous note, what is your favorite genre for music/video games/movies (all at once) [ex. "Emo" (My Chemical Romance music/FF7/Tim Burton-y movies), "Fast-Paced" (Speed Metal/Mega Man X/Action Thriller movie)]

When you reach a certain distance from a black hole (1.005 times the schwarzschild radius), your entire field of view is pure black, save for a small hole, your entire view of the universe compressed into one little circle. You'd be microseconds from total annihilation, but a view of such complete blackness paired with the thought of the universe being so visibly far away sounds incredibly peaceful, and I find that really cool.

    1. Well, I first saw them early 2011. Of course I thought it was a joke, as did most people. But I kept seeing images and posts all around the internet. They seemed so sincere and happy, how could they possibly trolling? One night on IRC, my curiosity finally piqued and I watched an episode with CaptainFabulous. We both agreed that it was really well made, for a kid's show. Unlike him, however, I could tell that if I watched any other episodes I would be hooked.

Of course a few months later, I got incredibly bored (computer was out of commission) and watched the first two episodes. To this day, I have never been so stupidly happy. It was one of the best couple of hours of my life, no joke. I was super stressed out because of dumb stuff happening personally, and also because school was about to start, and ponies brought it to a complete stop. It was therapeutic, which helped me to continue my new-found hobby. Coincidentally, one of my best friends also picked up the show over the summer, and our discussions about the topic brought in another mutual friend to the group. And that's that, I guess.

    2. I guess my favorite food would be sushi, it's so compact and varied at the same time, it's hard for me to turn down :D

    3. I think my earliest memory was driving in my car to Ashland (where I live currently) from San Francisco. I was packed in, My Neighbor Totoro style. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.
It's weird, more of a picture in my head than a video, with no discernible scenery, just me in my little car fort.

    4. That's a tough question. Boxers provide plenty of room for movement, but briefs are so much more comfortable, like mittens versus gloves. I'm gonna have to say both.

    5. Okay! Those were fun too, though.

    1. Fortunately I am not a pornstar. From what I've heard, it's pretty unglorious.
    2. I am afraid not, having a listen right now though. I like it! Not a huge surprise, I like both regular metal and alternative, so this fits nicely.
    3. I like both. Coffee is better for waking up, I usually have it in the morning. I guess as a general rule, I drink coffee for the caffeine over the taste (but I do love the taste of it, black of course). I drink tea when I want to enjoy the taste of tea, which is frequently. I like Black teas more than Green Tea.

Remember, You asked for it. FYI, don't click if you don't want to know.

already did 1 and 2, sorry man.

    3. Argh that's tough. All around, I think I'd go with Expressive. I love music with amazing singing in it or emotional melodies, I completely fangasm over bullshit arty games like Bastion, Limbo, and Journey, and movies aren't really my thing, but I like a serious story more than an exciting one (ie The Kids are Alright vs. Transformers).

*Straight face* Transformers 2 was the most subtle, emotionally deep film of the decade, Cultr1. You are clearly insensitive. MICHAEL BAY IS NOT A NAZI! HE NEVER HAS CONTINUITY ERRORS IN HIS ACTION SCENES!

Ahem. Now that you've shared more info with us than I cared to know, I propose winding things back a bit:

What videogames have you been playing these past few weeks?

If you have one, what is your favorite vampire themed novel or film?

why yes I still resent that you changed your fickle mind

If you were starting your life over again, but had the ability to decide on everything about your birth, would you change anything, and if so, what? What I mean is: you can decide your DNA, place of birth, and cultural background. So maybe you want to be a tall black woman from London? Or perhaps just give yourself a bigger penis. I dunno.

I feel as if I have crossed a personal line xD let me mark this in my notes about you.

    1. I have been playing Starcraft 2 with CaptainFabulous, Bastion because I'm always playing Bastion, and Cube 2 because I'm too good at it to not be playing it. Also Portal 2 again, just to experience the story unhindered by solving puzzles for the first time. Thanks for asking :D

    2. Well, I'd have to say Dracula. That book was awesome.

I dunno if that counts as changing my mind, but if I could change my mind and make you not resent that I would. Not that that's much consolation.

I would change nothing about my place of birth or cultural background, odds are I would have different friends, and if I had different friends I wouldn't be here on the forums D: Also the thought of having a different set of friends is too much to bear, even though I wouldn't be able to miss them since I'd have no memory. From what I've seen of my school and other schools, my friend group is my favorite. I'd make myself slightly more attractive I guess, no reason not to. And I wouldn't mess with penis size, I haven't had enough experience to know which direction I'd change to. Don't fix what isn't broken and all that.

I just hope my sarcasm was obvious enough. @_@

Do you have an interest in mathematics or physics or computers? Nerdy stuff? Or do you prefer not to get involved with the whole "how it works" thing? (For example: do you know how a bootstrap loader works?)

If definitely wasn't lost on me. I hope you don't think I'm taking notes on you, that would be incredibly false. Yep, totally untrue. Verily.

Yes! I have a very big interest in all three of those things. I loved "getting my hands dirty" as a kid, figuratively. Wasn't much of a dirt playing child, Lego was more my style. Anyway, I would eagerly disassemble whatever was put in front of me, just to see what's up. Of course, I would get down to the chips an processors and reach an impass, which got old after a bit. Once we had started the circuitry unit in Physics class, however, a second tier of understanding was made clear to me, and I got excited all over again. That's basically the main reason I want to be an engineer. As a bit of a side note, I much prefer this process applied to Chemistry over Electronics. It's more fundamental to life, which makes it a little more intriguing to me. The fact I can see a chemical in a list, firgure out what it looks like with some certainty (oxymoron, whatever), and understand how it works and reacts with other chemicals is why I'm going back for another round of Chemistry next year.
And yes, it has to access the ROM with a bootstrap "program" in order to do a power check and find and start the OS, from what I understand.

    *claps* That's fairly solid.

Okay, next question: what was the first videogame you ever played?

    Thanks.

Ocarina of Time. I remember everything about that game, but more importantly, the things happening while I played it. Sounds and smells of the room I was in, What school was like back then, all of these things were kind of solidified in my mind because of OoT, it's a rather important piece of my life, actually.

    1) What was the worst thing you ever experienced in your life?

    2) What was the best one?

    3) Where do you think you will be in 10 years? In 20 years?

    4) What would you do of your last 24 hours if you were to die tomorrow? What would be your last will?

    5) What's the most precious thing you have? What would you sell/trade it for? Assume you were forced to trade/sell it (so that you can't say "I wouldn't sell it for anything in the world hurr"

Louis CK. I couldn't tell you why, he just does everything right for me.

    1. c-u-ltr, and 1 because cultr is too short for most sites and is the lowest number. I've had this handle for a while, and in the process have gone from saying "see you later" to "See-You-Ell-Tee-Err-One," finally landing on "cult-err." Or cult for short. I haven't actually told this story here before, so I guess now is the best time.
Well, funny story. I was 10, playing Runescape. I saw tons of people in Banks asking for GFs, and giving away free stuff to their pseudo-partners. Now of course, I would have been a fool not to capitalize on this, and I made an alternate female account. I of course had to think of something more feminine than whatever manly names I could come up with in my head, and I somehow landed on "see you later." I didn't really grasp all the acronyms at this point, so later became "ltr" instead of "l8r." I guess that's a good thing, since now I can interpret it differently.

Anyway, I made tons of money and got tons of runes, and eventually became higher level than my main with her. I abandoned my poor previous account, and eventually became a member with Cultr1, and it stuck that way. I became rich enough to abandon the schtick though, and switched back to a male, but the name stuck.

    2. The first day of nice weather in the spring. It's relaxing to be able to commute sans-jacket, and be outside at whatever hour you please with little weather issues. Night time is basically my favorite time, so this just marks the start of my unhindered access to it.

    3. Well both of my parents are rather liberal Athiests (not the douchebag kind, though), so I inherited that without thinking twice about it. I live in a very liberal town, so I never was presented to a counterpoint to Atheism. When I hit middle school, however, I realized that I didn't know jack shit about the universe, I didn't have enough information to have an opinion. So I became an Agnostic, I guess.

    4. Vanilla. It's the one flavor of ice cream that I never get sick of, no matter how much you give to me. In southern Oregon we have this company (Umpqua something rather) who makes the best vanilla ice cream in the world oh my god it's so good

    5. I'd have to say Green like a Forest, or Dark Blue like the Night Sky. Both of these things are really peaceful, just visualizing them helps me relax. It also helps that I am surrounded by forests, and live under the sky, so I get to see them every day.

    1. Okay, this is a really personal one. I'm going to be blunt, and 100% honest about every detail, I have no reason to embellish this story for you guys. Sorry if I glaze over stuff that seems mega important, I'm compressing 8 months into a few paragraphs.

Alright, the worst thing I've experienced in my life is my first girlfriend. I was a freshman, and this was my first relationship, so I didn't know how to end it when I should've, and was way too gullible in general. Don't get me wrong, she cared for me when she was happy, she even threw me a surprise birthday party. Sadly, she had other factors going the opposite direction for her. She was an extraordinarily needy person, except any attention was good attention for her. She was mildly depressed, but more importantly a pathological liar. She would tell me complete and utter lies every day, and I had no choice but to believe them, as a massive guilt trip would result if I called her out. It was a mess, I would be on the phone literally begging her not to kill herself every single night.

She admitted later that she made up the stuff about cheating on me out of anger and cutting herself, but of course I couldn't be furious when I found out that things weren't as bad as I had thought. I was completely blinded with pity that should never have existed, I basically lost contact with all of my friends because I had to spend so much time caring about her. My freshman year was a complete wash, for all intents and purposes it never existed. I still aced all my classes, but I had basically no social life or emotional life. No life at all really, just hers. Of course she forced me to end my friendship with my best female friend through her jealousy; she never forgave me for it.
Finally, at the start of summer, she was pulling her bullshit again, I kept a totally clear head and broke up with her in the car on my way to the SFO airport (I'll explain that in a bit). My dad gave me a high five, and we got some ramen at this amazing noodle house to celebrate.

    2. So this is basically the emotional bleach followup question. My favorite experience is kind of a toss up, between my New York trip and the Robotics Tournament this year. I'll go over both briefly I guess.

Summer after freshman year, I got to live with my aunt in NYC for 6 weeks. She worked all day, and the cousin I was supposed to babysit spent much more time at the uncle's house than my aunt's (they're divorced, in case that wasn't clear), so I essentially had all the free time in the world to do whatever I wanted, in the biggest city in the US. I got an unlimited subway pass, and my parents would put more money in my account when I needed, so money and transportation were both unimportant. It was awesome, all the benefits of being an independent without any of the downsides. Plus that's when I made #curlybrace and skype friends with all you guys, which was amazing.

The robotics tournament was fun for similar reasons. It was basically 4 days in Portland with complete freedom, with a comfy convention center to return to, and all the friends I could ask for in one place. I made friends with a bunch of people, got to meet some skype friends who were also there, and made better friends with the the people I was already good friends with. Doing stupid shit all day is way more fun when you have a billion friends to do it with.

    3. In 10 years, my engineering degree has landed me my dream job as a chemical engineer, where I'll be making a more than decent wage. I'll be in a long term relationship with someone, hopefully, considering marriage. In 20 years, I'll hopefully be married, living in a house that it is mostly paid for already, with 1 or 2 kids. I just want to have a good life so my kids will have a good one.

    4. I would fly out to the east coast and meet as many of you guys as I could. I'd go skydiving, or bungee jumping. I would travel to a rainforest, I'd go see something built by Frank Lloyd Wright. I would give away my music library and headphones to my music buddy, we have basically the same taste in electro music (my favorite genre, basically). I'd give my phone to someone who needs it more than me, I'd give my steam account to someone who can't afford games. That's basically all I have to give D:

    5. I'd say the most important thing to me is my skype account. I spend so much time on it, it's my only form of communication with many of my friends. That's honestly more important to me than tangible stuff. I'd say a close second would be my music library; it's essentially the most honest thing I have, you really get to see what someone is like based on their music. Plus, it's quite a few GB, it would be quite the hassle to get it all back D:
If I had to, I would trade either one for (ironically) a laptop, it's something equally personal, and using a mediocre desktop in senic middle of the house feels a little impersonal. An iPhone is closer, but really hard to communicate quickly with.
