I'm fine with Cheese and Lace testing :o
Well and yeah I'm serious about the .net.
I hope you have it both.

Oh. I have that. XD
But, what if someone doesn't have it? You are just gonna say "TOO BAD!" to them?

You can just download the .net framework. It doesn't cost anything.

Edit2: Will this be open source?
In my opinion it's kinda useless making it "open-source"
Since you need some freaking expensive VB IDE Studio Thingy.
So you have the source and all... but then... you can't compile it / make changes.
There will mostly never be real OpenSoure on Windows (except Python Stuff and so on :))
But it's up to Garde.

I think the newest version should always do it.
But my guess is that 2.0 is enough.
We have to test it though.

It will be open source on request. Means if you give me a valid reason why I should send you the source code, I will give it to you.

But if I'm going to cancel this project or anything I will release the source code.

Um... No?
It's made with Visual Basic Express 2005, which is actually free of charge.

You obviously fail at patience. It has only been 3 days since SP's last update. He will release it "when it is done" and update us when he feels like it. It he hasn't said anything in a month then you can ask him. But if you ask him about progress every 3 days then that would be nothing short of annoying.

:x Frame rects is everything rect related, not only mychar. This includes bullets, NPC's and so on.
Is that sizes of sprites within a pbm file, positioning of sprites within a pbm file, and hit area? Or is it just 1 or 2 of those three?

Heh, just like the Cave Story Blog people? :D
If SP was bugged too much, there's the possibility he might just quit altogether....
It's happened countless times before, on countless other awesome-but-never-finished things.... {Not just on these Forums, poor SMBZ...}

Exactly.
I'm not sure about the hit area though.

some way to comment a script would be pretty swell.

Find a way to hack the exe so it can ignore anything after a "//".

I could do that, and perhaps I will, but would it not be possible to make your program so that when you hit "patch" it looks through all your scripts and deletes all the comments before patching?

I have to backup all the comments, rather unneeded work.

Plus you could do what ZTaimat/ZarroTsu does to seperate his events.

For example

Code:
=== Maploads ===
#0090
fade in that bitch yeah
#0091
fade in
#0092
fade in
#0093
fade in
#0094
fade in

=== Doors ===
#0100
blablabla

I think he said the .exe doesn't read text in between the equal signs as long as it's not in an event
