Actually, that was what I planned! Although I was hoping to add a little more explanation (in the form of dialogue) in that part before he got the bubbler and started adventuring.
If someone wants to change the bubbler so it's like Milon's weapon, feel free to.

Polar Star: Flute(shot a laser)
Machine Gun: Upgraded Flute*(rapid lasers)
Spur: Advanced Flute*(charge lasers)
Fireball: A Triangle(attack with musical notes that can bounce)
Bubbler: A Drum(throw musical notes)
*To get these you need to trade the Normal Flute.
If prefer the Snake than Original Bubbler.
I love all of these ideas, but I'd like to stick with the bubbler and mabye make the snake another instrument. There would have to be many trades for weapons throughout the game.
And quick question: does Milon's 'bubbler' have a name? I don't remember it having one. I think 'Bubble Gun' would be the best name for it.

We would probably need to change the graphics on them (I don't want the Cave Story characters as Milon characters). And as for the difficulty, I don't want to make it too much harder than the original Cave Story (or Milon's Secret Castle difficulty
), I think there are too many mods that are hard, I would prefer a casual difficulty until the end of the game.
I think that's about it. So firehead and pigaro are working with me on the game now? Cool.
