Ballos' return V4.75: Going through your past.

Abandoned: I can't seem to take this somewhere so it's dead, simple as that.....

A mod that is in progress, but hard as "hell".

Finally got the title screen changed to say my name at the beginning.

The story goes like this. Nearly minutes after Quote defeats Ballos he transports himself, Quote, Curly, Misery, and the Doctor (Date). Now Quote must go through paths he has never seen before, find everyone that was put under the cruse as well, and defeat Ballos; allowing everyone to wake-up, and rid Ballos' curse for once and for all.

Main things changed in the updates.

2.8:Tried something I called cross-bossing, didn't work out.
3.5:Changed the Ballos cut scene.
3.6:The game will move on with level 5, and title of the game changed.
4.0:Added more to level 5. Also did alot of re scripting, also redid the intro before the load screen (Don't press a button to watch it all).
4.5:Added ALOT more scripting, and level 6.25.
4.75:Made the a bad/or best ending split paths (takes 1 yes or no answer).

Rest of Level 5 coming soon (A unforgiving world) coming soon. Also after that you will go back to "Memory Rush" mode, and find "him".

This is pretty great! Other than a few specific parts, I was able to go through it quite fast and smooth. Nice mod, really.
For suggestions/bugs:

I think area 2 should have the normal background. The red tiles are a bit harsh on the eyes.
And I don't get area 3. There's practically nothing there, you get transported waaaayyy to the right and you just fall until you drown. If it's in development, I think you should just have a sign at the end of area 2 which says the mod ends here.

1.The red blocks in area 2 are supposed to be there to blind you and 2.I'll fix that so it has a sign happy dying

One final thought: How about some weapons/enemies? That would make it so much more fun!

thx for the feedback. 1. I'm new to everything involving mod making I'm just working with what I have (sues Work Shop) and I'm basically teaching my self how to mod so the enemies and weapons may be on hold for awhile. And 2. I was in kindergarten when they thought knowing how to spell and hand-write was not so much of a "big deal".

1. I stick to things after I stumble across them. 2. I just hate CE BL nothing personal but I hate things that have A MILLION buttons and things attached to it. Sues workshop is something that I can open up and make a mod for any reason. with CE and BL I have to download it (that always takes forever with me thx laggy laptop) then look for the jar extract it makes its own folder, open it find the button that open "doukutsu" and there. with sues workshop open click on doukutsu.exe and done.

Reading this post has convinced me that you are undeserving of the privilege of using Booster's Lab, and thus I believe you should be forever condemned to the sub-par modding program that is Sue's Workshop. Your logic, or lack thereof, is really just astounding, and not in a good way.

I tried my best to compose a good response to that, but I'll just leave it at: huh?

Also if you're really keen on learning how to mod and hate BL, I kid you not that you're missing out on some of the valuable help guides BL has. Sure I'm more used to the editing interface of CE, but I started using it because I found tutorials that explained how to use CE before BL.

Actually, this seems to be quite a common concern among many...my parents used to be pretty skeptical about things as basic as updating Flash because they thought it would take up all our hard drive space and introduce a million viruses. Thankfully the tides are slowly turning.

I agree that Sue's Workshop is more simple to use and that it can be used for simple and basic editing. Only after getting used to the basics can you use something more advanced and powerful, right?
Plus, the modder would appreciate other programs even more right after using Sue's Workshop, don't you think? Contrast is a very powerful tool!

Not to mention the fact that you get a FULLY DOWNLOADED AND EXTRACTED Booster's Lab with Cave Story Deluxe.

....all of you have left me speechless. It's just my personal opinion on what I like, and fine I'm if I don't need to use boosters lab...if you hate me that isn't a reason to ban. Remember this I my personal opinion. Also room 3 on this challenge is coming along well will be done in a week or 2.

it may be your opinion but fact says that sue's workshop is useless compared to cave editor and booster's lab
and it's actually harder to download - at least harder than booster's lab
no one said anything about banning or hating you
we're just saying sue's is bad

Objectively speaking, SW is the inferior editor. The longer you spend with SW, the harder it will be for you to stop using it when you realize it won't be able to satisfy your modding needs like BL or CE can. We don't hate you for using SW (and jeez they're not going to ban you for your preference), we're just pointing out that, in the long run, you'll appreciate the superior editors much more (and that your reasoning was lacking).
