~Suu No Monogatari aka Sue's Story~

This mod takes place during the events of Cave Story, but it's played through the eyes of Sue.

Current version. (0.2.0.1)

Looks great! I can see in the first picture you are using custom tiles. I would like to help you Beta test or Idea guy or... You get the point.

The tileset was ripped from mimiga army. I forgot to ask soulslayer if I could use it. :/

This looks pretty good...
TIME TO CHECK UP ON THIS SOMEWHAT FREQUENTLY SO MAYBE I COULD TRY IT OUT SOMEDAY
assuming it doesn't get cancelled like 50%+ Of the mods do.

Yeah, I hate it when a mod get's cancled/abandoned.

I have made "Some" progress but it's still not worthy of a demo release just yet. I only have about 5 minutes worth of play time right now. (Most of the stuff I've done has been cinematic, and a title screen redo)

As for the project in general, I've just done some maps and such.
I DON'T want a Sonic 06 again, So I'm going to take my time with this one.

Don't worry, the project won't be abandoned. I just want it to be perfect.

I'm also not going to give a release date on the first demo. I will be longer then you want, but sooner then you think. hang tight everybody. k'?

So YOU'RE the one responsible for Sonic '06? For shame.

Also good luck with not abandoning it. Pretty much all mods become orphans at some point, and I'll imagine you'll find out why after 6+ months or so.

BAD THINGS
-Music does not play when you get outside unless you get inside the helicopter and come back out.
-Once the doctor comes and Itoh turns into a mimiga I ran past the door and it faded in even though
the screen was faded in.
-There isn't a three title screen but it says there is in the credits.
-The doctor before he gets the crown is a door to get inside the helicopter at one point
-You need to make it so You can't get to the fortress before you unload. The doctor got his crown before I even saw him without his crown.

GOOD THINGS
-The storyline is awesome!
-Your mapping skills are just as good as Daiskue's
-The title screen is amazing
-The faces are outstanding
-Your coding skills are WAY better than mine.
-Keep up the good work!

P.S:Can I be in the credits since I took my time to help? I would like to Beta test future releases. :)

Ok... Bugs be reported...

So far I think its great (I haven't played past sue jumping off the side with misery behind her)... I like the cutscenes you did and the characters are mostly believable...

However... I'm a person who does the unexpected... so here are some bugs I noticed:
-The chest on the balcony that says "Attack? Y / N": This probably isn't a bug... but I think its better to not have this and to have the cutscene only happen when its supposed to.

-Itoh never leaves the cockpit, even when he is supposed to be in the prefab house. (Causing two of him to exist).

-During the night on balcony, there is an enemy near the last cave entrance, but its sprite doesn't show correctly (Its still on "Rabil")

-If you enter the king's throne at any time (where the demon crown is), you go into the helicopter.

-When Kazuma leaves the helicopter in the morning of day 2, going into the cockpit and back makes him reappear, and he still asks if you're ready to sleep. (and Itoh is still in the cockpit).

-This one is probably going to get on your nerves... but like I said: I do the unexpected:
--When sue and Itoh become mimiga, and you're supposed to be running away from misery, if you run towards her and pass her, it becomes super glitchy (You see two misery's on screen, it keeps fading in and out, and the whole cutscene replays from the beginning).

I'll play more later... its interesting, and most of the bugs are from doing stuff you're not supposed to...

EDIT: So I guess this is my first time being Ninja'd

So the horizontal trigger makes the screen fade in?



It should be a <MYB -_-

It's in the current build. (0.1.1) but I need to change the title screen to accommodate . .

most likely a draw order error.

it's so I had easy access to the cutscene to tweak it.







fadoink already pointed the <FAI error out.





I forgot to remove itho. . .





the <TRA back to the heli was (kind of) purposeful it will get changed. . .





and Kazuma in the cockpit, I put in under know issues in the readme. . .
