I want to make a thread detailing how Quote and Curly work, any ideas? They probably have some sort of miniature nuclear reactor to keep them running for long amounts of time. They could digest food by systems that work in there body to take all the energy out of specific varieties of food. They probably can't process pain in any normal way because humans have never really been able to define what pain and the senses are specifically, like you can say that taste is one of life's major senses, but we can't really define what the experience is like without words that accompany it. They probably just have something in there brain that automatically discourages them or something like that. Do they have dreams? How does sleep make them gain power? Their wounds probably heal by small pistons on pads under the metal skin that push the skin back into it's original shape. How would puncture wounds such as cuts heal though? Maybe some sort of liquid metal? Do they have some sort of blood system? There are still a lot of questions, I will have to think of answers for them in the future.

If they had nuclear reactors inside, wouldn't they have to eat uranium to survive?
I feel as if they have something like cars do, where running the engine and braking charge the battery.
Of course, that also requires a second energy source...

He must have quite the stash if one or zero panties collected in-game is enough to fuel him for that long

Also, I don't think the term "biology" applies here, because robots aren't really, you know, alive.

Dunno anything about robots. Maybe they run on some sort of fuel which is not yet discovered in our time?

Maybe they're cybernetic organisms: living breathing tissue on the outside, but an armored battle chasis endoskeleton on the inside.

They'd also need copious amount of water to keep the reactor from turning to a complete douche.

Maybe quote runs on love.

Robots that run on a generator stored in their body. Thats what I think anyway.(and the generator turns off to avoid flooding when under water for 100 seconds.)

I agree with the T-100 theory (deliciously chewy organic tissue over sweet crunchy robot skeleton). I mean he had to earn that lipstick somehow.

That's only half of him though

(the other half is a reactor powered by grape jelly)

I'd imagine his mechanical parts would bear more resemblance to the human skeletal structure.

Perhaps they were bred from sharks?
That makes much more sense than a human cyborg to me.

If they were part hammerhead, that would at least explain the sees-in-the-pitch-black aspects that has been dubbed the Mother of All Cave Story Questions (iirc).
