The thing about Terraria is that there's no point of a server when less than two people are on it. You can transfer characters between worlds, so if you're alone you might as well be on your own world. You can build a little bit, but that gets boring fast.
The people with Terraria on Steam can co-ordinate that way, but the rest of you will have to depend on this thread or the IRC to know when someone's willing to play. As soon as I get enough people together, we will christen the Terraria server.
When we start out, I want all new characters. All you're going to have is a copper axe, a copper pick and a copper sword.

Since they don't affect gameplay and such.

I played for a little bit-- I noticed a worm about to attack Fab, so I tried to defend us but then zombies came too... They're all gone now, but after Fab and I died he took 33 silver coins from me. Mind if I have those back, Fab?
