I appreciate the sentiment, but there is only one true god-figure, and that is Kanpachi.
Long ago, there lived a peaceful land where the ways of magic were not forgotten, as they are now. The people of the land worshiped Kanpachi, a bastion of light against the dark forces of the far lands, whose mighty awesomeness kept the dark ones at bay, for they knew they could not defeat Kanpachi. At the center of the land was the great Castle Town of Gaél, where the monarchy has ruled over the people for hundreds of years. It was Kanpachi himself who had appointed the first king of Gaél, a noble man named Treyus with a pure heart that looked after his people (for Kanpachi has not time for the trivial affairs of men when there is fishing to be had).
However, as the years went on, Treyus' bloodline grew foul with inbreeding and scandal, and the last king of Gaél was the nastiest of them all. A snivelling man, jealous and cowardly, he did not respect the gifts of Kanpachi and grew envious of the people's worship. "The people should be worshipping me, not this silly little rabbit! I am their king!" He thought, and he ordered the people to build edifices and temples to his own image. Kanpachi saw this, and was saddened, but knew that all things must come to an end. Thus, Kanpachi devised a plan to have the kingdom and all its people destroyed, and Kanpachi would disappear until the day had come that one could again prove their worth. Although Kanpachi's power was great, it could not be by his hand that the land would be destroyed, for that is not the way of Kanpachi.
Thus, Kanpachi began to engineer the downfall of a civilization. In the city, there lived a family of magicians. One of them, Ballos, had powers far beyond those of most mortal men. He used those powers to help the people, and the people loved and trusted him in return. Seeing this, and knowing the King's jealousy, Kanpachi spoke to the King and told him of Ballos. Enraged that there should be any man more loved than he, the King had Ballos apprehended and thrown into the prison, where his punishment was brutal and cruel. Humans can be terrible creatures indeed, thought Kanpachi. In the blackest night, after the most awful of punishments that Ballos had yet recieved, Kanpachi appeared to him and spoke. "Unleash your power" Kanpachi said, the words echoing dimly in Ballos' weary mind. "Your sister and her daughter will be saved, but let those who wronged you feel your wrath. Humanity has become tainted, and only through fire can it be cleansed." Ballos was confused, but Kanpachi's words stood out clearly in his mind. What about the people? He tried to remember, but all he could see were blackened faces, wicked barbed knives and searing coals. Memories of pain, humiliation, and spiteful laughter. Ballos summoned his strength, his anger, his frusteration, and unleashed the primal fury of his magical power. Knowing that none could survive such a force, he took Ballos' sister Jenka and her young daughter Misery far away and spoke to them, because in his infinite wisdom Kanpachi knew there was yet more that needed to be done. All the while, pillars of hellfire churned forth in Gaél, destroying all. The screams of the innocent echoed above the flames, and Ballos heard their cries, but it was too late; all he could do was laugh, laugh while he allowed his magic to run wild destroying his home, his family, everything he ever knew and cherished.
When the fires subsided, Kanpachi took the ruins of Gaél and created the Floating Island, where Ballos was to be imprisoned. This done, Kanpachi looked upon Ballos and saw that he had done well, and that despite the wickedness of man there was still good in him. So, Kanpachi removed the goodness of Ballos' soul, and gave it to Jenka in the form of five puppies. Such is the benevolence of Kanpachi. Kanpachi then created the Mimiga in his image, to live on the island. He then created the Gaudi, and the monsters, so as to have balance between good and evil. When all this was done, there was but one thing that remained for Kanpachi to do - there must be a test, for the day that one might come and prove their worth to Kanpachi, that he might once again live amongst and share his awesomeness with the people. Thus, he went to the final family member, young and naive Misery, and spoke to her of her uncle's power. Thus was set in motion the creation of the Demon Crown, an accursed artifact that bound Misery and her familiar to the Island until the day that one might come not seeking its power but to destroy it, lift the curse of Ballos and eliminate the evil within.
His labors complete, Kanpachi returned to fishing, ever waiting for the day one of pure heart and mind would come and earn His benevolence once more.
