There are many sides to every holiday. Calling any holiday meaningless is wrong. Whether one appreciates a holiday by its origins and purpose; or one gets a day off work, or school. Many people appreciate something about these holidays, or hate it for another reason. But, far from meaningless for those it touches I would think...

As for Valentine's day; it's a good popular excuse to do something good for someone, that you may be neglecting to do. It is good to understand the historical purpose, but to most it's more about...

Really nice pic, ZTaimat. This should be preserved in another photo uploader, just in case Imageshack deletes it. I'm not certain if it could be edited or not, though...

I haven't played Ys 3, X-Calibar, but the overall design of your neat and unique pic reminds me of Chrono Trigger's Giga Gaia or Terranigma's Dark Gaia. A lost connection between different games and companies, perhaps?

I wouldn't think so... but then again! Would be interesting if the same designer worked on their concepts; or if the monster design is being pulled from the same source...
I watched a video of Dark Gaia. I had never played Terranigma, but looks like it could be fun, if I ever get around to playing it. I've seen a few other bosses that look similar, although I can't remember from which games.

Oh, I recommend checking out the Ys PC games. I always loved that series of games. The games themselves are pretty short, I think I beat Ys 1 in a night or two... [like a certain other game... *cough*cavestory*cough*]
There are translations out for Ys 1 and 2; and the newest one Ys 3 Oath of Felghana is like 5$ for the translation...

Well, um...
The games are still retail and for sale between 20-50 something dollars depending where you get it, and if it's on sale. [You can get Ys 1 and Ys 2 in a single package and only pay one smaller cost]
The fan-created translation for Ys 1 and 2 is free though.

I mean I guess I could make an image of my DVDs ...

Why do all the best looking ports for Ys 1-3 have to be for PC.

That does it, I am getting Ys 6 for PSP and sticking with crappy looking snes and PCE versions from now on (though Ys 5 isn't crappy looking
