Everyone uses C++, unless they're me (, and weird,) and they're married to C.

Are you saying that you use C, or that C++ programmers are married to C?

And people use a lot of languages other than C++ these days, the 2 most popular ones I think would be C# (probably more common than C++ now, or at least I'd hope) and gml (a lot of people using game maker these days).

Also is it easy to make operating systems with C++?

I don't think it's easy to make operating systems with *any* language..

Also, Java seems very popular for 2D game development (especially for Android devices).

I need to start making gifs of deku blaster for twitter, but I have no way to record my screen. If I post a demo would one of you be willing to make a video and send it to me?

Open Broadcaster Software - tons of features, and it can save to a file or broadcast to Twitch (so it also records audio of course, although for GIFS that doesn't matter)
Screencast-o-matic - leaves a watermark but if you don't care about that, it's easy to use

Thanks, Zxin. I use the library in my college, my phone and whenever my brother is around I use his laptop to work on this game. College computers don't let you install anything, this obviously wouldn't work on a phone and my brother doesn't want me to install anything on his laptop. I'm trying to install Linux on my Wii, so I can use that until I get my own laptop but no luck yet.

It feels good to finally use a keyboard again.

For some reason when I post my screenshots on Twitter, they show up blurry, on any other website though they look fine. Not sure whats happening and I cant find anything on google.

I know Facebook automatically converts images to jpegs, but I'm not sure about Twitter. Might just be compression

Hey, thanks bro!

I recently started using game maker, it's a lot easier than C and JavaScript so I decided to us that for Deku Blaster instead. I have to redo the programing side of Deku Blaster but the time spent learning C and JavaScript taught me be basic fundamentals so it wasn't a waste of time.

Does anybody on here have Photoshop? I have a bunch of small clips in mp4 format, that I need converting into gifs. My tablet can just about run game maker, so I'm not sure if Photoshop would work. Would one of you be willing to convert a few 10 to 20 second videos for me? Thanks in advance.

I have already tried ffmpeg and other well known software for converting videos but the gif quality always ends up looking terrible. When I use GifCam my gifs come out choppy yet GIRakaCHEEZERs gifs look flawless, maybe my tablet is the problem?

well it can only output something as good as the source material
you need a reasonably good computer to record your screen well along with the right software and settings.

The video looks fine, the quality only drops when I try to convert it.
