Naw man, casting is all about dexterity. Whether it's dodging or making arcane symbols, you can never have too much dexterity. I am, but I'm juggling like five different things so I may seem just a bit distracted

Ohey MagicDoors, can you have like 3 different battles going on at once? I think that would speed up all of our training. As in, for example, COOL, myself, and Malpercio are all having training battles at once.

As #2403 descends into the basement, Malpercio goes up the stairs two steps at a time, eager to learn more about alchemy.
On the second floor is a room that is completely orange. In the middle is a fox-furry sleeping. Malpercio goes over and pokes the sleeping kitsune.
He wakes up, and introduces himself as Jin, the Alchemist skillmaster. He asks if Malpercio is here to learn alchemy. Malpercio nods his head eagerly.
Jin sits up. "Well, then. Let's start."
He hands Malpercio two stone bottles and three white herbs.
He looks at Malpercio. "Well? What are you waiting for?"
Perc stares at him.
Jin stares back. "Ah, right, you don't know any recipes."
He hands Perc a slip of paper.
He stares at Perc, waiting.
Perc sighs, and asks him what this paper is.
"That is a recipe."
Perc says he can see that; it is a recipe for white chocolate.
Jin explains. "Most alchemists write their research in code, so no one can steal their work. For some reason when they sell their recipes they like to leave them undecoded.

He looks at the recipe in Perc's hand.

White Chocolate

Pour an entire bag of white chocolate chips into a bowl, then microwave the bowl. Put the melted chocolate onto a tray, and wait until it is solid. Serve on one stone plate.

Jin speaks up. "See the white chocolate chips? What type of herb would correspond to those?"
Perc begins to speak, but Jin interrupts him. "Correct, a white herb. Now, if the recipe called for more than one bag, you would use that many herbs. The same is with the stone tray - it is similar to a stone bottle, if not exactly the same."

Jin tells you that you can make a recipe at any time by saying so. A good suggestion would be to say "Recipe: whatever". You could specify ingredients or the recipe name.

Now, Jin asks you to make the recipe he gave you.

EDIT: I believe I can pull that off, Dunc. I'll try that.

He spots a delinquent reindeer.

COOL walks over to the building beside the Mages Training Center. In big fancy letters a sign on the building says "Warrior Dojo".
COOL walks in, and sees three men sitting beside each other. He walks towards them.
All at once, the men see you and motion you towards them. You go to the first man.
The man says, "Welcome to our dojo. We are the three Armstrong brothers, from the strong-armed family.
They look like circus performers to COOL.
The man identifies himself as Savv. He introduces his two brothers as Tivv and Serv.
Savv teaches offensive warrior techniques, Serv defensive, and Tivv teaches the passive arts of the Adventurer.
Attackers focus on ATK, and use it to fuel their skills. They also use skills that use their own life force as payment for greater strength.
Defenders protect their partners with high DEF and skills that allow them to defend often and defend others. Some physical strength is built as well to support themselves on their own, but not much is needed.
Adventurers use passive abilities that help them constantly, and focus on a balance between ATK and DEF. Special enhancement scrolls can be purchased to increase the effectiveness of their skills, but only once for each skill.
Make sure to consider each before deciding, each has their drawbacks and strengths.

I almost forgot, Perc, you gain 2 ALC, 2 ATK and 5 SP.

Good choice. Sivv takes COOL to a back room, and motions for him to sit. Sivv does the same. He stares intensely at COOL, making him feel really uncomfortable.
"Okay, time to train." He punches COOL in the face.
As COOL is about to yell at Sivv, he notices that he doesn't feel any pain from the hit. In fact, he feels stronger.
COOL gained 4 ATK and 5 SP!

Sivv explains that training to be an Attacker isn't really that hard. It comes with practice, so it can't really be taught. So, he considers your training complete, and invites you to join him for more training once you reach Level 5.
You completed your training! Level up! Gained 5 SP.
Sivv also gives you a Power Blessing Potion, which triples your ATK for one turn in battle.

windsofwinds comes to Fantasa again to find it in ruins. The people must not have done a great job after I left. While searching around, you find tpcool and his friends , looking disoriated. *sigh* The work of a kitsune is never done. you join the party!

How's that novel that you've been working on?

@Malpercio: well, if you don't have the decoded recipe available (if you haven't successfully made it yet) you'd have to say the ingredients, but w/e for now.

"This one is trickier. Sometimes the materials in the recipe have no relevance, and it's up to you to determine if they apply. There will never be two names for one ingredient. For example, 1 container of ice cream and 1 cup of chocolate syrup could never equal 2 white herbs, it's either one or the other.
In some recipes you will have to use common sense. Vanilla ice cream would never have chocolate syrup on it, so you can fix that and use 2 white herbs instead.

Link, hiding behind COOL, looks at the brothers. Sivv notices and speaks to him. "Would you like to become a warrior as well?"
Link nods his head.
"Well then! You obviously heard my explanation, what role do you think suits you best? Attacker, defender or adventurer?
Just remember, if you choose to be an Attacker, you get to work with ME!!"
He strikes a pose. He seems very full of himself.
