I heard it's possible to get rid of the need to put © Pixel at the end of your sprites. I really want to use this. Halp?

This would be slightly less useful, but... would it be possible to change the required string to something else? Such as "© Celtic Minstrel"?

I think all you have to do is open Doukutsu.exe in your hex editor, search for the ©Pixel string in it, and simply delete it. Poof.

Unfortunately this also means getting rid of the ©Pixel in existing .pbm files, like arms, title, bullet, etc.

So if you simply replaced the ©Pixel string with a different string, would the game still work? Would the new string have to be the same length, or could it be longer?

No you don't.

You have two options:

FIRST OPTION
> Open .exe in hex editor
> Search for "©Pixel" string (it's case-sensitive :o )
> Replace it with blanks
> You're done! :D

SECOND OPTION
> Open each and every new sprite sheet made by you in hex editor
> Add "©Pixel" at the end of each sprite sheet's code
> You're done! :D

I generally prefer the first option, cause it's less of a hassle. =/

And btw I'm not exactly sure about the second option's steps, as I myself don't use it at all xD.

Does that mean the filesize is left unchanged?

What I did was save the .pbm file as a .bmp file, that will create a new file that you can't use, but if you change that newly made .bmp file back to a .pbm you can edit it and it will work in the mod.
