What GIR says is true. He meant regressing trough the levels, not physically walking towards the entrance.
And if you use the Snake you should spend only a few seconds waiting for Deleets, if any o:

pretty sure our good admin Andwhyisit hasn't beaten hell yet, or he hadn't for a very long time.

Beat hell 14th December 2011, been here since 16th July 2007 (finally got round to fixing my join date, which was broken after the move), that's 4 years, 4 months and 28 days of being registered here without beating hell.

Question: Are the fireball and bubbles actually that useful in the Sacred Ground? I've actually found it easier to just stick to the Spur and a bit of missiles, both for Hell itself and the Ballos fight.

I've always stuck with the Spur, Nemmy (for Heavy Press), and Super Missiles. I can't imagine the Bubbler or Fireball ever being very useful in Hell at any given time, unless you use the shield that the Lvl. 3 Bubbler creates, but even that is still usless compared to the many other weapons you can use.
