So this is separate from the Cave Story on the DSI Shop? Does that mean it will be an update or a new game?

Well, great. Just great, I'm sure all the fans were begging for an eShop release... >_>
Even though it's just another rehashed version of the same damn game, of course I'm still going to get it! Challenges and leaderboards sound pretty cool, actually (Especially by 3DS standards).

A bit of good news is that there will be other modes too. In Nintendo power it says it has " A jukebox mode, adjustable controls, and several challenge modes, including Boss Rush, Curly Story, Hell Time Attack, Wind Fortress, Nemesis Challenge, and possibly more."
This is amazing for me because I never got CS+ So I havent played Curly Story, Wind fortress, boss rush, or nemesis challenge. So this is great news for me. Plus, it comes out around my birthday. I hope Ikachan makes it on the eShop soon. Or DSi ware.

I couldn't find Cave story 3DS in shops anywhere. I was lucky enough to get It on amazon.co.uk Next day after ordering <_<

It is true. Nicalis was talking about it on their twitter.
And as people above stated it was shown in Nintendo Power.
