Would you be able to tell some of us about your origins on the site? You are probably one of the oldest active members so I doubt there is anybody left that remembers when you joined.
SP does, and maybe X-Calibar or some of the other old members that show up once a year
So like, what brought you here,
Jenka's Nightmare
why you stayed
Modding was fun and really interesting to me, still is, although the community has expanded in other areas since then
what it was like in 06'
Very quiet, but lots of stuff to show for it

what *you* were like in 06'
I had gotten over the bulk of my creepy teenage childishness by then, but I was still somewhat immature/unclear in my writing style/lacking some confidence. However, I don't remember it being that big of a deal because I didn't really start posting a lot until mid-2007-ish. I think nearly all of my posting in 06 was in the mods section giving/requesting feedback.
What about politics do you find interesting? To me it seems like a bit of a farce, a bunch of people plying to win favour and popular opinion to secure their free meal ticket for life. The campaigns themselves are especially silly, with all the money spent on advertising and the grandiose speeches, it seems to matter little whether a person would actually make a good candidate and rather whether he can plaster his face on enough billboards and appeal to pathos.
I find it interesting the way each governing system works and how they differ from one another, its history (both change and why it tends to repeat itself or be forgotten), and perhaps most of all how it gets manipulated. It kind of sucks because our lifetimes have just happened to coincide with a period of 'safe' politics, driven by social and commercial media and the gradual increase in power of moneyed interests since the war. Seems like it's something everyone should keep track of, because knowing who's running/breaking your country and how is very important

Partisanship can go choke on a dick though.
Why do you dislike anime so much?
Because an unreasonably large swathe of it is horrible garbage designed to appeal to horrible people and make them feel like being horrible is okay and not horribly horrible. This is based on experience - I have encountered countless forums/message boards/streams where the token weaboo (or multiple thereof) is easily the most spiteful obnoxious person with constantly hurt feelings, including this one.
Have you watched any? If so, which one(s)?
I watched a few as a kid, but I see them as essentially cartoons; Pokemons, Digimons, DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh! et. al. It retrospect they were are mostly very silly, but still kind of fun and heartwarming. That's about it, but I don't really watch TV that often anymore anyway.
Would you ever put aside your dislike and give some of the anime related media that is considered good a chance? Ie Cowboy Bebop
I actually do want to watch Bebop at some point, it looks really good. Another one I ran into that looks interesting is Serial Experiments Lain. I'm in no rush though, it's not like they'll be going anywhere.
Kawata Shoujo
lol
I really don't think you guys actually want me to play this because unless it's the most outstandingly amazing thing I've ever read I'm going to tear it a new arsehole and never let you live it down
What is your kitty's name?
Cleo
My mum named her
How did you become a bird?
What kind of fuckign question is this, seriously? How did you "become" a woman you insensitive ha- okay but seriously I think I started it around 2009. I've always like birds and one day I made a "lolololol I'm a bird" funny and it stuck.
Have you ever gotten a serious injury before?
There was that one time I got hit by a truck... also I fractured my left wrist in grade 9 (fell on it, on a basketball court) and I have a gash on my left knee from when I was about 10 (was one of those two-chair swings pushing it with my legs, my leg slipped and went over a bolt taking a chunk of flesh with it, can post a photo of scar if you want), and had a bench fall on my right big toe a little later in primary school (causing the nail to die and have to grow back). I
think that's all of the major ones?
I hate to get personal so quickly but this question has been on my mind for quite some time:
I'll save this for a separate post because it's going to take a long time to answer
Do you consider yourself a nice person?
Fundamentally, yes. I gain absolutely no pleasure from getting angry at people, or insulting them, or teasing/bullying etc and it disgusts me whenever I see other people doing it. By the same token, I love the feeling of making other people happy or helping them, almost to the point where I'm obsessed with it at times. Outwardly, I have a tendancy to behave spoiled or selfishly, but this has improved over time and these days I think I'm generally pretty honest with myself. I still have trouble controlling my emotions, and get angry or over-excited probably more than I should, but I think and feel a lot more clearly than I did even a few years ago.
What are the forum members to you as a whole? (Friends, family, partners in work, etc)
I guess I would quantify you guys as friends, but I have long been hesitant to label anyone I know (and by that I mean in real life or anywhere) as 'close friends'. Realistically, it's unlikely that I'll ever meet any of you in person, or share closely in your emotional struggles, or help you get ahead in your lives. I sort of leave that decision up to the other person, because ultimately I have no say if someone suddenly decides they don't want to be friends with me anymore. That's not how I roll. Also, I analyse people very severely, so while this does not depreciate their worth in my eyes as human beings it does make it hard for me to confide in or talk to them regarding topics that we fundamentally disagree about. In some ways we're probably more like a family, where everyone is (except for extreme, but not necessarily rare, cases) stuck with who they've got and have to learn to get on and make it through the hard times. Guess that makes me the big brother (herp derp) who has to balance trying to get along with everyone and making sure that they behave themselves properly

What are some first impressions of members you had that have changed for you?
Hmm... Without getting into my opinion of my ability to judge other people, there are a few:
Lowell - At first I didn't pay him or the other 20 ppd kiddies much mind. Thought he was a bit annoying with the green Comic Sans and the overbearing posting style, and it very much rustled my jimmies when he nicked all my mod descriptions for the CS Wiki (although even at the time I knew he hadn't really done it on purpose). I did, however, appreciate the way that he didn't let everyone's bitching get to him and kept on posting as he liked, because he knew within himself that he wasn't trying to do anyone any wrong. Then, at a time when I wasn't expecting strength of character from anybody on the site, he came out of
nowhere and defended me from a wave of retardation using his void magic. At that moment I realised how much we had in common; both lacking a bit in self-control, but willing to stand up for ourselves and others as long as there is some scrap of a cause worth fighting for. This man has genuine balls and you should all respect him for it.
Actually going back to that earlier question, if you took Lowell and Noxid and fused them together that's about what I would have been like when I first joined

cyowolf - After our altercation in the above-linked thread I threw a massive fit at him over PMs, which he took incredibly well and even offered me the hand of friendship. That made two completely unexpected reactions in two days! My heart could barely take it

jcys/Metalogz/The Joker - Initially I had labelled these guys as generic fast-posting sheeple, but their actions over time showed to me that they did respect others and weren't just in it for themselves. This is why everywhere I go I wish people would speak up more often; your words do make a difference, even if it's only to one person.
Mixer - Personally I think he's mellowed out a great deal lately, which is a lot more than can be said for most of the other forum babbies. Dunc may earn a place here when he stops making those creepy avatars

Meta - Honestly she strikes me as really a very normal attention-seeking person and I shouldn't blame her for it. Doesn't excuse her past behaviour, but looking back to that time she didn't really deserve my hate the way other people did. That's almost a compliment!

sixtyseconds - Making a decent mod is basically instant respect++ from me, as is taking to lurking for a while
I can't think of anyone else at the moment, or at least nobody else with over 130 posts
What does your immediate family consist of?
Mother, father, sister (although she's moved to the big city for study now), "nana" (mom's mother, lives in our house now, downstairs in her own apartment type thing), various pets.
Favorite foods?
Aaaaaaah D: I might have to come back to this one later too
In fact I think I'll end this post right here because it's already crazy huge
