I dunno if this topic can go here, but I'll place it here anyway. This topic is for any riddles one can think of.

I guess I'll go first. Please make the riddles in bold, since it can be easier to see, so that some people (such as myself) don't think that the answer of a previous riddle is the riddle.

My riddle:
What has a mouth, but never talks?
What has no legs, but always walks?

Technically, it's a riddle on a computer game, but it's the first one I thought of. When the answer is correct, though, I'll say which game, so don't ask which game. This is done since one may have that game, just to play it until the riddle is found (which is random in each game).

I broke my left arm on 17 May 2013 by falling off a ladder. Why couldn't it have happened due to a Cthulhu? Or why could it not have happened at all?

If I do anything stupid, sorry in advance!

Grandpa!

Anyone who's read the The Hobbit will probably know this one.

Thirty white horses on a red hill,
First they champ,
Then they stamp,
Then they stand still.

I think Cave Story is quite capable of giving you mental issues. Just look at some of our fine members on the forum.

The answer is not "grandpa", but I guess some grandfathers are like that. I dunno, neither of mine are, as far as I'm aware.

As to that, I haven't read The Hobbit ever, but I'm gonna assume the answer's "horsemen". Id est, people who are riding horse. And "id est" is Latin for "that is to say", if there is somebody who didn't know. I didn't until August last year.

Shane, I was making a Simpsons reference. Also, I don't know what logic you're running off of to come to the conclusion of "horsemen," but it is incorrect. Go Latin. :)

I can't watch Simpsons. The channel it's on isn't available on the television in the house (thank goodness, since my mother would probably watch all programs to do with felines!). The only channels on the television are SABC1, SABC2, SABC3 and e.tv.

Said logic, I went for the first thing in my head. Brings me back to two years back, which one of my friends asked riddles so hard I only got one of five correct. I agree on the "Go Latin" part.

EDIT:
Your riddle riddles me. Still couldn't figure it out. It's harder than the one that one of my friends asked me!

I only like the Latin I know. I'll place their meanings here, even if it's familiar. The rest of Latin, I don't like... but I'll never learn more without a dictionary, seeing as I am kept home permanently (the class I was in last year kept getting detention at school due to students not behaving in class). My mother's decision, even. Not mine. At least I have all the time I need to play PC games, post here, etc.
Id est: Which is to say; in other words
Et cetera: And the rest; and all the others
Quod erat demonstrandum: Which had to be proved
Ibidem: In the same place

I agree, and I had to look in a dictionary to learn what nominative means.
Noun: nominative nóminutiv
The category of nouns serving as the grammatical subject of the verb
Adjective: nominative nóminutiv
(1) Serving as or indicating the subject of a verb and words identified with the subject of a copular verb
(2) Named; bearing the name of a specific person
(3) Appointed by nomination

It looks like the riddle is tough, by the way. Nobody answered it yet.
What has a mouth, but never talks?
What has no legs, but always walks?

What is part of the element that flows?
That ought to make it a bit easier!
