Agorra's Legends, or whatever it was called. It was basically online cave story, but it never worked on my computer. When I opened it, it just stayed as opened windowed with nothing but whiteness filled within. I know this has been discussed a few a times, and there's even a thread right next to mine about online cave story. But fuck you asshole if I made this post there, I'd probably get one or two replies tops that don't even explain anything.

Oh yeah, I played that once. I'm far too unskilled on the subject to diagnose your problem, however.
I think Cave Story is quite capable of giving you mental issues. Just look at some of our fine members on the forum.
