Size of the Quote

Hello! I'm new here, yes... and I just want to tell some one (or people) about things i figured out o_o; And its about the size of Quote. If what I think is wrong to you guys then I guess it is x_X (my writing style is weird.. sorry if it seems long)

I was so bored
i decided to know how tall the first part of the labyrith is in Cave Story
and this entry is all about Cave Story!
and a crap load of things i found out on my own

so

the part where you gotta travel up to flick a switch to open the door (at the labyrinth)
even the npc at the bottom says the jumps are so tricky that you'll break your legs!
and i really wanted to know o.O
so!

First off the blocks are the size of the main character (shown in blue) (start and end of the block (blue pixels are on the outside of it) )
And from looking at the map
the map is pretty accurate.
1 pixel = 1 block and 1 block = the size of the character
Like this
Since the map is accurate, i counted how many pixels is it to the switch
its 61 pixels (every blue pixel marked is 1 block)
so the main character needs to travel up 61 pixels to get to the computer

so now to find out his size
comparing to a human with the main character (i had to resize his head cuz his original head is WAAAAAY TOOO BIG (top right)
so the main char's head is at the human's cheek... the mouth area

And now... The avg body height in 2003 was 5'6 (Found at Ragnarok Wisdom) (its all in US average height)
the avg body height now (2006) is 5'9 (found in Wiki)
so i'm guessing
2004 was 5'7
2005 was 5'8 (man we growing!)
and Cave story was made in 2004 SOOOO

the human is 5'7
and for someone to be at a person's mouth is about 6 inches shorter (found out by measuring me and some friends)
so the main char is 5'1 ...so the main character is really small (Curly is 1 pixel smaller than Quote... or it's just his hat)

5'7 = 170.18cm
5'1 = 152.40cm (i work better with cm)

so.. the main char is 152.40cm tall (or maybe a tad smaller since i resized his head a pixel lower)
so since each block is the size of the main char, each block is 152.40cm tall
and theres 61 of them

152.40 * 61 = 6467.22cm to the computer at the top
or 64.6722 meters

And now

The main character can jump up 4 blocks (but land on the top of the 3rd one)
so... pretty much he jumps 4x his height!!
he jumps 609.6cm (6.1 meters)

Now Horizontally... (or just rotate him on top of the block while 'standing' since he is the height of a square block, he should be the same measurements horizontally)
the main char can jump 7 blocks and slide a bit
so thats...

1066.8 cm
10.668 m
start
finish
without sliding


and thats all i found. What do you think?
Sorry if this insults someone(somehow), breaks the rules, use of improper grammer, spelling mistakes, bad math skills, length of the quote or anything negative >_<

Of course, the fact that he's a robot kind of makes these make sense.


And why shouldn't a robot have an oversized head?

Well.. he was able to fool the mimiga's, sue and kazuma that he looked pretty human. if he had a oversized head they'll look at him weird and probably say "What are you!? :eek: "

If you look at e.g. Kazuma's sprite, he has an oversized head too. In fact, all humans characters in the game, except the Littles.

I am guessing at least 6 inches, maybe 12. He is a robot, so why hold back?
