I would also say it looks more like the underside, but that's probably because the art styles (the tile-sets in particular) are quite similar. Though I did notice that the enemies seem to have that little motif of giant eyes, kinda like in Guxt.

Just posting to say that I played this and the sequel, and the sequel is indeed quite a bit better. The original is fun too. The sequel has a pretty cool soundtrack as well. It's too bad these were both pretty short though (and were lacking in the story department).
