Whenever I try to edit Start Point's script, it just goes 'Cave Editor has experienced a problem and needs to close.' After that my Start Point can't be opened anymore :<

On another note, how do I edit Map files, the pxe/pxm ones. I don't really like to edit in Cave Editor with the limited palette and stuff. I remember I did it long ago with Sue's Workshop, but now I forgot how to do it with Cave Editor.

Make sure the folder isn't set as read-only.

And WoodenRat never liked you in the first place

Cave Editor doesn't like to open scripts for some people (mostly the newest version), so I recommend using 0.98d.

Also I can only assume you are talking about the .pbm files (the pixel bitmap files) which hold the graphics for everything in the game, including maps. (pxe and pxm are the files that store the entity data (where entities are on a map) and tile data) You can edit .pbm files with mspaint, since pbms are just bmps with a different extension. Just right click it and go to "Open with" or something similar.

Also be sure to remove the "©Pixel" requirement, which can be done in the settings with CE I believe. If you don't, editing the graphics will be a pain.

And do what woodenrat said (make sure the data folder isn't set to "Read only" in the folder's properties).
