Cave Story RPG?

Has anyone considered doing some kind of RPG version of Cave Story? (with a whole new story preferably; I mean, using Quote's story would be a little redundant and awkward for players who have already played and beaten the game).

Lets say we make a whole new character named...

who wakes up on the Island, after Quote has left the Island after the bad ending.

(This way, we can change it up a bit).

I dunno. It seems like a good idea at the time this was being typed up. What do you guys think?

Two questions. First, anyone still interested in the Cavestory RPG? Second, what do you mean by RPG? Pick one of the following:

1 I meant a computer RPG in the style of Final Fantasy or some other turn-based thingie.

2 I meant a tabletop RPG in the style of Dungeons and Dragons.

3 I meant a forum RPG.

Can't help on #1. I'm going into freelance tabletop design, so I can do #2 without much trouble. Probably won't have the patience to fully flesh things out, but I can work out mechanics, a bit of worldbuilding, and come up with a list of 25-50 guns. #3 is easy enough that anyone who's played a forum RPG can do it, so I'm going to assume no one meant that.

And anyone who would be seriously interesting in a Cavestory RPG could reply here and let me know.

Very unlikely, but the RPG pixels working on?
May be a RPG Version of Cave Story

Im talking an actual RPG Remake, Same story just RPG Styled game play.

That'd be pretty damn cool

Heh, this a pretty original idea. Making a mod that's simply TSC script. I'm not sure if anyone's thought of this on the forums. Not even Noxid, that sly bastard!!

Do you mean to make an RPG by hacking cave story's exe, or by using a completely different program? I could easily help make the latter. Although according to Lace Game Maker is evil, I'm very skilled in it and can make an RPG fairly quickly.
