i currently use a ps3 controller on my vista computer to play all of my emulators and games, but because of cave story's weird settings, its impossible for me to play this one game.
kinda sucks.
its mainly because the config only gives options to change the first 8 buttons,and the x^[]O buttons are listed as buttons 13,14,15,16... well over the 8.
is there any sort of patch for the config, or a way to fix this issue so that i can assign commands to MORE than 8 buttons on the controller?

Go to the cs config and turn off the game pad setting,
then download this http://xpadder.awardspace.com/ , it allows you to bind any key on the computer to the gamepad controller, just config the computer keys to the ps3 controller
It worked for my Xbox 360 wireless controller, im pretty sure it will work with your ps3 controller, no promises though
