A random Dungeon Master Java video I made

18 February 2010 - 06:19 AM

Well, after a rather long absence (I have to stop doing that... Seriously), I have returned with a run through a FATE dungeon, remade in Dungeon Master Java, but with a source combining twist that throws other creatures from different games into the mix. Instead of trying to upload the video in multiple parts on YouTube, however, I took the quickcheap way out & uploaded it on zShare, instead. I might take the time to re-upload it, later, if my internet connection starts picking up again (And if YouTube doesn't phase out support for my browser like it said it was going to do over a year ago... If you're going to do it, YT, you may as well do so now or not at all).

Since it's approx. 1 hour long, it might be a better idea to download the file & watch it, instead of viewing it on zShare directly. Especially if the ads on the page prove to be a pain & slow your loading time down drastically...

P.S.- I didn't realize TotB was removed when I made this video... Forgive me for opening any old wounds there might be pertaining to that matter (Though Rightiuson was the one who made the reference at 2:20, I'm the one who typed the dialogue, and thus I take the blame. This is the consequence I must pay for taking an 'extended break'...).

Mushroom Kingdom Fusion

19 May 2009 - 08:47 AM

Undoubtedly, the greatest Mario-styled virtual source crossover fangame being made that I've seen... And it's not even finished, yet!

It was all originally started by one person, namely JudgeSpear, but the project has expanded greatly with help from the other members of The Fusion Team, as well as many more contributors. Though it's made with Game Maker, it is Vista Compatible, so no worries there.

The overall storyline's still in the works, but essentially...

the 10 playable members of the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition (Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Arthur, Link, Kirby, Samus, Wario & Roll). From what's mentioned on the MKF Wiki page, the atmosphere of the game will be very dark.

And, as with anything awesome (Like Cave Story), you're likely to find plenty of mods for it, as well.

There's plenty more out there, but hey, I should supply links to all of this right?

The game itself
v2.5 beta release (More levels than the v3.0 demo)- http://mkfusion.ipbf...?showtopic=3392
v3.0 demo release (Includes levels not found in v2.5 beta)- http://mkfusion.ipbf...?showtopic=5374

Character sprite mods I've put together
NOTE: These mods have yet to be made compatible with v3.0, due to missing animation spritesheets.
"Speed" Sangheili (Covenant Elite)- Sonic's playstyle
Umihara Kawase- Tails' playstyle
Mint from Threads of Fate/DewPrism- Sonic's Playstyle

I've hinted at a lot of this in various other threads, but it's time to just give it its own thread altogether. This fangame is going to be BIG, without a doubt!

One final thing- If the game is lagging (The right side #'s display in the bottom right corner of the screen being around 40 or less), you can press 1 & 2 to increase or decrease the framerate & speed things up. 3 will toggle the display of the frameskip & the framerate #s in the corner.

Yikes, where'd everyone go? (My Browser Lagging or Server Hiccup?)

30 April 2009 - 08:27 AM

Normally, I'd put this in the "Trouble With the Forums?" thread if I was certain it was a server hiccup, but something tells me it was just my browser acting up again. At least it wasn't the D3v1L at work, again...

So, what happened, you ask? Mirai Gamer displayed the old "The page cannot be displayed" message, though other sites loaded up just fine... Except for YouTube, which displayed user's pages in a strange way as this happened, but that just further supports the 2nd theory above...

Anyway, after emptying my Temp. Internet files, I'm finally able to come back, only to find out that everyone was logged out, even the hidden members (Who are not listed by name, but still added in the "Who's Online" count).

Getting to the point, however, was it just my browser that did this or was it something a bit more... Widespread?

Escape from Dragon Mountain

This is a fangame (Not by me) that's very much inspired by FTL Games' (Faster Than Light Games') Dungeon Master, but doesn't follow the same storyline as DM. You control a group of 4 prisoners who are sent to a dungeon for crimes they did not commit, & must find the exit at the very bottom of the mountain. For now, this is only a 3 floor demo, & hasn't been updated since 2005-2006 (I suspect), but since the characters' health doesn't increase (I guess spellcasting hasn't been implemented, either), it allows the monsters to put up a decent fight against the player.

Though I may be the only one on these forums to have any interest in this, I figured I may as well show it here, anyway. Any thoughts about the game itself?

Of The Eight Superiors, which one is most attractive? (A.K.A. Parody-Us 3)

09 February 2009 - 02:17 AM

Aeris, Bastila, Feena, Meru, Mint, Nico, Noa, Sango

While most people would say... Wait, forget it, I'm not going to go there (Like I'd actually be an insensitive creep & insult any of The 8 Superiors), while still I will admit I like Aeris the most.

As for the reason why I did a parody attempt of MetaSeraphim's five senses thread, jcys810's four tastes thread, & freezit4's which member makes the most sense thread, I would have to say it would be a tie between me just feeling left out when it comes to making threads of fate epicness & just simply asking a question with unknown consequences.

In other concerns, I wonder if Konami will sue me for making a title parody of their parody title (The Parodius series)?
