1. Mythical Crystal Storm ( best multi-purpose weapon for dealing with regular enemies )
2. Unreal Megashark + Crystal Bullet ( best anti-boss weapon ) [ although a Mystic Magical Harp is better vs. the Destroyer ]
3. Unreal Hallowed Repeater ( best anti-player weapon )
4. [either] Wings
5. Spectre Boots
Really? No. Go get yourself a Whoopie Cushion and a Red Bunny Pet and raise hell.
As for what I prefer to LOOK like, I don a Necro Breastplate, Necro Boots, and a Jungle Rose - with Demon Wings on back.

Prefixes being redunant because obviously you want the best you can get....
Also for the sake of armor comparisons because 1.0 did a few things right that got fucked over in newer updates...

Also anyone remember when Eater dropped Shadow Armor?
I've already listed my items... so look: depends on playstyle -
magic characters, full Familiar set or a robe if I have the spare rubies.
ranged, armor with a vanity helm that doesn't cover most of the head - favorite is Hallowed followed by Cobalt
melee, full armor. Same preference.

Old silver armour looks exactly the same as the new stuff. And the old necro armour looks a bit silly to me.
