I thought it was obvious that the lack of a double L in Balrog makes the A sound like the A in "Rag" or "Lag".
Since it's english we're talking about, it doesn't have to be pronounced that way. Since english is weird.

Remember the mod "Press story" or was it "Deleet story". It was a CS edit with all the messages edited in a way that had fucked up grammar. Balrog was called Blargog a few times and I picked it up. Man, what are the odds!
