I,ve seen it done many a time, but I don't quite get how. In a lot of cave story mods, people have edited the games cut scenes and created their own. I don't really want to go into detail over the exact process. I just want to know how one would access the particular files and add their images into it. "And possibly how to change from one to another". Not too much detail after that will be needed, as I can study other files with cutscenes my self. I have searched the forum and if it has been posted, then it was posted under an odd name. NO hate or negative comments as I don't know where every little thing is.

Yes.

Cutscene scripts are in the scripts of their maps, use an editor to mess with the scripts and graphics. TSC is like: (event number)(<)(three capital letters)(dialogue, numbers, if applicable).

Cripes.

Editing TSC scripts is more complicated than one post can explain. Download Sue's Workshop or Cave Editor here, then read this. I'm afraid modding is not simple business for a newbie.

I have them both, I just need to know how to access the files in order to start and determin what to type in to put in a certain image. If I really need to go ito detail, then I'll study some of the other files.

Yes.

Well, use Cave Editor. Open Doukutsu.exe, then open a map. Click File, select Edit Script. Now you're looking at the TSC. So, what kind of image are we talking about here?

I'm talking about sprites such as quote or other characters to be used for cut scenes. Such as him walking and something poping out. Or to make a character appear in mid conversation. I just want to know how it works, and I can figure out some specifics.

But if it requires typing in a four didgit number to use a certain sprite, how would I know what that number is. "I've ran into similar problems with door creating."

Yes.

Kapow's TSC guide should tell you most of the necessary 4-digit numbers. If not, there's probably something else on the Tribute Site that does.

What i mean is the four digit numbers that are used to insert certain sprites or songs, etc... I read that and it said specific numbers. I want to know how to find the numbers for them all. When I look at script I see a set uf numbers, some mean song data and some mean animations and stuff, but where did those numbers come from?

On a side note, an example of what I want to figure out is that in the beggining a helicopter loweers into the area and the character jumps out. he looks up at it as it flys away, and then you begin playing. Maybe he says something first, I don't care, I just want to know how to make some thing like that happen.

Yes.

I think I have a really basic idea now, I just want to know how to make an entity using multiple sprites. For instance, when you click on an entity and click on it, it will offer to change the sprite from 12 to whatever. How do you create a multi sprite animation like the save card or something similar? That seems to be the big deal in this.

Yes.

To create an animated entity, You'll either need to edit the frames of one that already exists, or assembly.
